The Webinar series provides both, a general overview on IEC 61850 for those who are completely new to the topic, as well as insights about important concepts and tools to practically implement the standard.

The IEC Masterclass was conceived and is hosted by Pascal Schaub from DT Partners. As a true expert in IEC 61850 as well as in zenon, Pascal is a member of the IEC TC57 and has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry.

Application examples

Part 2: IEC 61850 in zenon & zenon Logic/straton

- Introduction to a substation demo setup

- Demonstration and exercising of fundamental IEC 61850 concepts and data flows

- Review of concepts and related zenon architectures

Part 3: System architectures for power utility automation

- Detailed discussion of dedicated architectures for certain use cases in IEC 61850-based substations

Part 4: IEC 61850 configuration & version management

- Detailed discussion of project management and engineering related considerations in IEC 61850 based projects

- Configuration management / version management

- Utilization of tools and features to guarantee consistent and safe commissioning and further maintenance mission critical applications

Course material, such as zenon project backups and data model exports are provided along with the respective video recordings.
